How we can help

Six ways to work with us

Pick the one that fits the problem. If you're not sure, the first call is free and we'll point you to the right one.

  1. Remote support

Something broken or slow right now? Book a call, share your screen and we work the problem with you: pipelines, models, DAX, Databricks or Fabric.

Good forUrgent issues and quick questions

  2. Performance and cost optimisation

We find what is making reports, pipelines or bills slow or expensive, whether that is the model, the DAX, the Spark jobs or the capacity size, then fix it or show your team how.

Good forSlow Power BI, long-running pipelines, rising Databricks or Fabric costs

  3. Architecture review

An independent review of an existing or planned platform against best practice: security, cost, pipelines, modelling and DevOps, with a prioritised, costed plan of what to change.

Good forInherited platforms, Synapse exits and second opinions

    Ask for a quote
  4. Project delivery

A defined scope delivered from our Xcelerators: landing zones, ingestion, lakehouse, models and reports, handed over documented and in your own repositories.

    Good forNew platforms and migrations

  5. Embedded team

Senior engineers, architects and analysts who work inside your team as an extension of it, for as long as you need them.

Good forSkills gaps, hiring delays and peaks in demand

    Ask for a quote
  6. Training and mentoring

Pairing, model reviews and tailored workshops for your analysts and engineers, built around your own data and platform, so your team can run it without us.

Good forTeams taking over a platform and new Power BI developers

What we know

Five things we get called in for

Architecture & Strategy

Cloud-native data architecture design using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and the broader Azure ecosystem: roadmaps and technical patterns for secure, scalable platforms.

Data Engineering

Robust, metadata-driven pipelines across Fabric and Databricks, including medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for streaming, batch and AI-ready data flows.

Semantic Models & Reporting

Unified semantic models in Power BI integrated with Fabric's Direct Lake or Databricks SQL, delivering actionable business dashboards.

Advanced Analytics & AI

Operationalising machine learning models in Databricks and Copilot in Fabric with governed, production-ready workflows.

Security, Governance & Compliance

Microsoft Entra ID, Purview, Key Vault, RBAC and private endpoints as standard across every deployment.

Questions we hear

Which one do I need?

Our Power BI reports are slow. Where do we start?

Usually with a remote support session. Slow reports almost always come down to the model, the DAX or the data source; we find which, then fix it or show your team how. For a lasting fix, a performance review covers the whole semantic model.

How we build Power BI
We're still on Azure Synapse. What should we do?

Start with an architecture review. We assess what you have, cost the options and set out a migration path, usually to Microsoft Fabric. That's how our work with Victrex began.

Our Databricks or Fabric bill keeps climbing.

A cost review looks at cluster policies, serverless use, capacity sizing and table maintenance, and shows where the money is going and what to change first.

Databricks
Can you review what another supplier built?

Yes. An independent architecture review gives you an honest view of security, cost and maintainability, and a prioritised list of what to fix first. We never recommend what you do not need.

We need a data engineer but can't hire one.

An embedded team member covers the gap now, while we help you hire or build the skills in house. Or hand us the platform entirely: EFT runs a managed Azure data platform without an in-house data team.

How do you charge?

A fixed price for defined projects, blocks of time for support and consulting, and a monthly fee for managed services such as AnalyticsXcelerator. We agree scope and cost up front, before any work starts.

Do you work remotely or on site?

Both. Most work happens remotely, and we come on site for discovery, workshops and handovers. We're based in Manchester.

Can't see your problem here? Tell us about it and we'll suggest the best way in.
