Trueology

A data, research and insight agency working with membership bodies, charities and commercial brands, now backed by ongoing Power BI best practice advice across everything it builds and delivers to clients.

The challenge

Where they started

Trueology combines research, analytics and segmentation to help organisations such as membership bodies, charities and consumer brands make better decisions, and Power BI is a key way those insights reach clients. With a busy team delivering dashboards across many client accounts, each with its own data sources, survey structures and reporting needs, Trueology wanted an experienced Power BI partner on hand to sense-check approaches, settle technical questions quickly and make sure every report met a consistent standard, without having to build that specialist capability entirely in-house.

What we did

The platform we built

We act as an on-call Power BI advisory partner to the Trueology team, supporting whatever is in flight rather than a single project. That covers reviewing data models and recommending star schema structures, helping with tricky DAX, advising on how to model survey data such as multi-select questions and weighted responses, and tuning slow reports. We also advise on the practical side of running Power BI for many clients, including workspace structure, deployment, row-level security, sharing options and licensing, and on report design so dashboards are clear and easy to navigate. Where it helps, we pair with analysts on live work so knowledge stays in the team.
